Technological breakthrough 1: First time applying the N54SH multi-pole magnetic material to Android phone actuators.
Compared to the commonly used N52 actuator magnetic materials on the market, N54 exhibits high performance and stability in complex environments such as high temperatures and strong magnetic fields, bringing about powerful magnetic drive force. In order to utilize this material, engineers from AAC Technologies faced numerous challenges. They devised a multi-pole magnetization solution while maintaining a compact size of 10 mm3. They also had to address the consistency issues of magnetic saturation and polarity positions in each pole, as well as overcome the industry-wide problem of introducing heavy rare earth elements that would reduce the magnetic performance of the actuators’ magnetic steel. In the end, AAC Technologies succeeded in applying the N54SH multi-pole magnetic material to the biomimetic haptic actuator Turbo, marking a groundbreaking achievement as the first linear motor in the industry for Android to be mass-produced using the N54SH multi-pole magnetic material.
Furthermore, AAC Technologies has upgraded the voice coil frame material in the actuator’s magnetic circuit to the latest soft magnetic alloy material, which has over 21% higher magnetic induction intensity than conventional soft magnetic materials. This upgrade further enhances the driving force.

In addition, the actuator’s core components have been optimized with improved precision in the manufacturing process.
