The 2020 China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially commenced at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center on November 5. AAC Technologies, a leading global precision manufacturer, exhibited with a high profile featuring the fullest range of categories, the newest product offerings and the most state-of-the-art technologies, showcasing dozens of world-leading technologies and solutions for the first time.
Exhibition site
On the morning of the exhibition, AAC’s pavilion was bustling with visitors. More than ten trade missions from Hunan, Zhejiang, Shandong and Tianjin and many representatives of enterprises such as CRRC came for hands-on experience and business opportunities. Among others, the three thematic experience areas, namely the intelligent vehicle simulation cockpit, acoustic experience room and optical experience room, came with an intense spotlight.
Enterprise representatives ask about the latest intelligent cockpit technology
According to the on-site staff, AAC just turned its eyes on intelligent vehicles most recently. The simulation intelligent cockpit set up at the exhibition integrated the latest offerings and solutions of AAC in micro acoustics and electromagnetic transmission. Sitting in the cockpit, visitors can experience the dynamic surround music, much like that of a concert, which is quite stunning. Most amazingly, the front and rear passengers can listen to music or watch movies at the same time, without affecting each other.

The cockpit is equipped with the latest LES speakers developed by AAC, which are less than half the size of traditional automotive speakers and weigh less than 1/6 of the latter, delivering considerable space savings and loading reduction, the staff introduced. The smaller size also allows for more versatile placement in what would otherwise be a fixed area and more flexible audio solutions for vehicles, as the speakers can be placed in the user’s “prime listening position.” In this way, a separate sound zone between users is realized, ensuring the interaction and privacy needs of each user, thereby providing a better immersive listening experience. The integrated independent rear cavity also isolates vibration transmission and reduces resonance with the vehicle during sound generation, enhancing ride comfort. In addition, the intelligent cockpit’s center screen, steering wheel grip and turn signals are equipped with AAC’s latest lateral linear motors, providing users with a more delicate feel and richer haptics, delivering the realistic touch of physical buttons.

At AAC’s acoustic experience room, the SLS ultra-linear speaker solution with a 0.75mm amplitude was showcased for the first time. According to the staff, the speaker outperforms a variety of flagship smartphones on the market today in terms of sound quality and volume, especially in terms of bass and midrange, making it an acoustic solution for the next generation of flagship smartphones. Furthermore, AAC also presented its newly developed TV speaker solution for the first time. Compared with traditional TV speakers, this product features small size, high volume and superior sound quality, which not only caters to the trend of thin and light TV sets, but can also replace external speakers, delivering a cinema-like auditory experience.
Acoustic experience area
In the acoustic experience area, AAC displayed the globally exclusive WLG glass–plastic hybrid lens, which adopts a 1G (glass) + 5P (plastic) solution and has 48 million pixels. According to the staff, AAC’s newly developed and designed glass–plastic hybrid lens has significant advantages over traditional lenses in terms of design height, light transmission and resolution. By increasing light transmission by 20% under the same structure, the lens effectively improves the image quality in low-light scenarios, achieving better color reproduction and reducing flare problems. The WLG glass–plastic hybrid lens technology will set the trend for the future of smartphone optical lenses, ushering in the ultimate mobile phone imaging experience in the 5G era.
Optical experience area
In addition to the above three thematic experience areas, AAC also brought dozens of world-leading products and solutions at this year’s expo, which can be widely used in cell phones, smart speakers, AR, TWS headphones and wearable devices, etc. Interested visitors can go to booth 4.1A3-005 for a visit.
