Advanced Micro-optics Technologies GmbH (AMOT) starts Operations of Micro-optic Solutions in Suhl

AAC Technologies Holding (the “AAC”) is pleased to announce that Advanced Micro-optics Technologies GmbH (the “AMOT”), a fully owned subsidiary, acquired selected key Assets of the Micro-optics business of CDA GmbH. Operations at AMOT based in Suhl will ramp-up with key employees and capabilities, across R&D and high-precision manufacturing, related to micro-functional optics components well in place and integrated within the AAC group.

AAC is focused on driving innovation and technologies to offer the best possible user experience to our customer. AAC is doing this in a wide range of fields covering consumer electronic, automotive and medical applications. The technologies in the field of micro functional optics available in AMOT is a unique addition to the already broad range of technologies offered by AAC.

We are thrilled to see AMOT’s technologies as a unique supplement to the already existing technology portfolio in AAC, but even more at the synergy that will be released when we establish a strong collaboration between AMOT and AAC said Shaun Chen CEO of AAC Optics.

AMOT is a leading manufacturer of complex micro-optical structures based on polymer materials in the industry. It can utilize polymers to mass-produce precision microstructures which can be applied in multiple application fields such as consumer electronics, automobiles, industry, XR, etc. The use of polymer as the raw material and the unique wafer level optic manufacturing has many advantages such as light weight, high safety and short time to market. AMOT has the mass production engineering capability and process design ability and able to provide customized services according to the different optical customer design requirements and applications.
