AAC Technologies Customizes Ultra-thin and Super-large Vapor Chambers (VCs) to Enable Premium Heat Dissipation for OnePlus Ace 2

On February 7, OnePlus Ace 2, a new OnePlus phone designed to “bring all users the flagship experience” featuring high performance and the ultimate gaming experience, was officially launched. Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, said that OnePlus Ace 2 has completely surpassed other products in the same price range with configurations and experiences of flagship products.

In terms of heat dissipation, which concerns players the most, OnePlus said that Ace 2, with great breakthroughs in heat dissipation materials and area, is “so far the OnePlus phone with the most efficient heat dissipation.” The 5,177 mm2 ultra-thin and super-large VCs tailor-made by AAC Technologies, whose thermal conductivity is 100% higher than that of ordinary VCs, can ensure the continuous and stable high-speed operation of the Ace 2.

R&D engineers of AAC Technologies said that to meet the needs of a thinner and lighter Ace 2, they have developed unique composite thin VCs and used more sophisticated technologies for materials, simulations, and vacuum sealing, to overcome the difficulty of narrow steam passages for ultra-thin VCs. The VCs are customized with a maximum thickness of only 0.27 mmalmost 33% thinner than similar products. Moreover, the engineers have used high-precision etching technologies to reduce the copper shell thickness of the VCs to 0.055 mm, which is even thinner than a piece of paper.
