On July 28, a joint meeting of the IEEE 2861 Family of Standards Plenary Session was held in Shanghai, co-hosted by Tencent and AAC. The meeting was the third meeting of the IEEE P2861.3 “Standard for Haptic Interface Enhancement for Mobile Gaming” standard project, which aims to promote the development of the first haptic feedback technology standard for mobile gaming.

China Applies for Most International Patents in the World via PCT in 2021, with Huawei Topping the Chart and ACC Ranking First in Manufacturing Patents

On February 10, according to the data released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, global innovation entities accomplished growth in the volume of PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) international patent applications against the COVID-19 epidemic in 2021. Chinese applicants submitted 69,500 international patent applications through the PCT, topping the chart in terms of application volume for three consecutive years. The top 5 countries in application volume are the United States (59,600, +1.9%), Japan (50,300, -0.6%), South Korea (20,700, +3.2%) and Germany (17,300, -6.4%).
