On July 4, Xiaomi released its latest business flagship notebook Pro 2022. Apart from configuration upgrades in performance, screen, and design, a major breakthrough in press interaction has been made for Pro 16 and Pro 14 (Xiaomi Pro 2022 hereinafter refers to these two models). They adopt Xiaomi’s self-developed pressure touchpad and are equipped with AAC Technologies’ self-developed ultra-wide X-axis linear actuator for the first time, which may probably deliver the best touchpad experience among Windows notebooks and eliminate the need for a mouse.

This time, the brand-new pressure touchpad installed on the Xiaomi Pro 2022 adopts the integrated pressing design and replaces traditional mechanical buttons with a pressure sensor plus a vibration actuator. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Pro 2022 is the first notebook that uses the ultra-wide X-axis linear actuator. This actuator boasts outstanding performance characterized by super-strong vibration, super-fast response, super-wide frequency band, and super-low power consumption. Its maximum vibratory magnitude reaches up to 1.1Grms, equivalent to the most conventional X-axis linear actuator of 1.88Grms, while the power consumption remains as low as 0.12W.

The clear, real, and comfortable tactile feedback of the ultra-wide X-axis linear actuator, combined with the AG glass panel and the capacitive touch design, allow the Xiaomi touchpad to deliver a consistent experience and handfeel for users wherever they drag and press on the touchpad. The touchpad can replace a mouse to swiftly complete operations such as picture zooming with two fingers or application and desktop switching with multiple fingers, thus bringing users a truly convenient experience.

AAC Technologies’ large-amplitude SLS speakers improve the stereo sound

In addition to the touch control experience, Xiaomi Pro 2022 also attaches great importance to the auditory experience. It adopts two SLS speakers independently developed by AAC Technologies with a maximum amplitude of 0.5mm, up by 0.1mm compared with the previous generation. The bass limit is deeper, low-frequency performance improved by 5dB, and the bass boost clearer and more solid. Meanwhile, the high frequency of SLS1338 can be extended up to 20Khz. When the loudspeaker mode is turned on, the treble is sonorous and clear to bring a new level of shock.
