HONOR’s “Yuanqizai” won the “Best Gait Control Award” for its natural and human-like movement!

As a long-term partner of HONOR, AAC Technologies developed precision structural component solutions for the two star robots, enabling them to showcase their peak performance on the track—from flexible limb swings to steady strides. 👏👏👏

AAC Technologies’ Comprehensive Precision Solutions——Powering “Lightning’s” high-performance body

A half marathon is an ultimate test of the balance between structural strength and lightweight design of humanoid robots. During the event, “Lightning” demonstrated an exceptional level of competitive performance. According to HONOR’s technical team, “Lightning” features high performance, strong explosive power, and high stability. AAC Technologies offered core support for this robust body. By virtue of its comprehensive precision structural component solutions, it ensured the robot’s stability and explosive power during high-intensity running.

In this collaboration, AAC Technologies worked closely with HONOR’s R&D team. Through innovative material application and high-precision craftsmanship, they achieved the ultimate balance between high rigidity and lightweight design, ensuring long-distance durability for “Lightning”:

A body excelling in both strength and flexibility: AAC Technologies applied its expertise in multi-material integration — using aerospace aluminum, bearing steel, and carbon fiber — to the main frame (arms, hips, legs, etc.) and critical components. This approach ensured precision in core load-bearing parts, significantly extended service life during prolonged operation, and greatly reduced weight to optimize energy efficiency for long-distance running.

High-tech aesthetics: Exterior components like the chest plate used polymer materials such as PA and glass fiber. Processes including polishing, anodizing, and spraying enhanced both durability and refinement, culminating in a sophisticated industrial aesthetic.

Ultra-precision machining: Utilizing 5-axis CNC and turn-mill composite machining, the process achieved an accuracy of ±0.0075mm. This micron-level precision minimized wear and ensured smooth operation of the robot’s kinematic pairs during high-frequency strides.

AAC Technologies’ Precision Solutions——Helping “Yuanqizai” achieve the most beautiful gait

For “Yuanqizai” who won the “Best Gait Control Award,” AAC Technologies provided key structural components for the core motion units of its head and legs. Through weight minimization and structural optimization, AAC Technologies met rigorous demands for lightweight, high-strength precision parts while giving “Yuanqizai” a technological yet human-like appearance.
